Dragoon by Zenzotron Dragoon by Zenzotron
This is a "quick" sketch I did once I saw a pic a friend of mine was drawing. I was so impressed with her idea I decided to knock out a Dragoon warrior of sorts, I liked how it looked so I coloured it...that was the long part. I must have worked on the colouring slowly for a couple days...ooo, that was sad.

Many thanks on the comment and on the appreciation for the colours.
Hehe, I am glad that you enjoy the work that went into this piece, it has been a long time since I have had the opportunity to sit down and colour something with nealy as much enthusiam.
No worries at all about sentence structure, art is about expressing yourself through other means than simple words; the appreciation thereof can be done in much the same way. Message recieved loud and clear ;)

Thankies and sorry for taking so long to reply, University keeps me mighty busy these days.

This was a fun piece to colour, one of the first if not the first I used the 'selection' method on. Definitely a learning experience.

Many thanks, it was a really fun, and fairly fast piece to do...well the initial line art atleast, the colours took me FOREVER....ugh, that is what happens in the summer I suppose, when one knows not of the constraints of time...

The inspiration for this one came from a sketch someone I know did, she drew a little dragon-like-thing and I just HAD to do my own...more aggressive ofcourse...

Thanks.... I could do the rest of his body, in theory, I mean but I am not sure if I have the time to be able to lay out another piece and colour it...well, I suppose if the weekend allows I might [but I have another project on the back burner that is itching to be scanned and completed....].

Like I've said to you before, I like the shine on the axe, Some reason I kinda get a Uruk-Hai kinda feeling, even though hes half dragon and all, probably the axe/muscle feature. LOL.

Thanks...but that last comment was a little interesting..."meat's on the menu tonight boys" followed by "yum"... Clon, I mean, did you really have to phrase it that way? lol. Jokes. But thanks, it took me for freakin EVER to get it done!

Thanks, there is a certain feeling you get when you colour your own drawings, I mean there is a pleasure in colouring someone else's work, but when you complete a pic, pencils to colours, there is a certain pride you feel, a feeling onl bolstered when others appreciate it.

Thanks, Dragoon took me forever since the base file is large and because it was the first time I had used the techique seen on it...plussss I was lazy/busy as hades at the time. All in all though I am happy that such was your reaction :)

Thanks, I was trying for a new technique than what I traditionally go with [I usually don't do the uber highlights]. Thanks for the comment, it's a rather good feeling knowing that someone is looking at what you've made.
